Well, move in day came and everyone was excited, we moved in the basics the first two days, then spent the rest of the week getting things settled. The first thing that I noticed was the mattress and box spring was stained, it was nasty, the housing department did not provide mattress covers. Back to the warehouse we went we needed disposable bedding and mattress covers. Such a simple idea was only a dream about three years ago. We covered the mattress and box springs with Sweet Dreamzz Disposable bedding. In an effort to minimize the amount of laundry that the 2nd year college student needed to do, we combined the regular bedding with disposable bedding, at the end of each week she simply has to dispose of the disposable bedding and place on a new set. What a Sweet Life!
What a Day!
Happy dance lasted for less than 24 hours, I still needed to find out how to reach potential customers locally, it seems that the internet is an option over newspaper, still not sure how to proceed. My next set of phone calls was back to the newspapers about online advertisement; the end result was that I could not get our funds and their billing expectations to meet. Plan B, stick with PR News Wire, figure out the website, participate in a couple of expo’s and the rest would come later. After all this was the information phase, we still had plenty to do in order to launch the product. I still have an MBA, I can certainly do this, and all I have to do is keep repeating the same phrase. I have an MBA in Marketing; I have an MBA in marketing. Wonder how long I can keep this up?
